Evaluation and Treatment
As in most cases, treatment will vary depending on the extent of the injury or the disease. Your initial visit will include a complete medical history and physical exam in order to determine the source of your problem or pain and establish an appropriate treatment path. It is helpful to bring your prior medical records, medication lists, and X-ray, MRI, or CT films to the initial evaluation. Additional X-rays or diagnostic tests may be necessary. The exam may take anywhere from 30-90 minutes and based on the complete evaluation, your orthopedist will discuss further treatment plans with you to help improve your ability to maintain an active and functional lifestyle.
