Froedtert Health Completes Acquisition of Six ProHealth Care Practices
Froedtert Health has completed the acquisition of ProHealth Care Medical Associates practices in six locations in Menomonee Falls, Germantown and Hartford. The transaction includes 90 physicians, clinicians and other specialists, and approximately 400 staff.

Froedtert & Community Health Unveils New Name, Brand Strategy
To reflect the organization’s growth and more clearly link its members, Froedtert & Community Health has adopted a new name and brand strategy. The new name, Froedtert Health, is shorter, easier for consumers to remember and highlights collaboration and cooperation among the members. Froedtert Health includes Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls, Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend, and West Bend Clinic. Under the new brand strategy, West Bend Clinic and all Froedtert Health community-based physician practices will use the name Froedtert Health Medical Group.

Free Prostate Cancer Screenings at West Bend Clinic
West Bend Clinic will be hosting free prostate cancer screenings Thursday, September 9 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at West Bend Clinic on 1700 W. Paradise Drive. Screenings will be by appointment only. Advanced registration is required, as space is limited. To register call 262-365-6100.
Annual screenings are recommended for men age 50 and over, and beginning at age 45 for men with a family history of prostate cancer. Following recommended screening guidelines is an important factor in early detection. Finding the disease sooner can result in more effective treatment options and lead to increased life expectancy compared to those diagnosed at a later stage.

The Concussion Management team includes:
ImPACT is a sophisticated computerized test that accurately detects sports-related concussions by comparing baseline results with testing conducted following a head injury. It is the program used by the NFL, NHL, MLB and many collegiate teams. Prior to the start of the season, athletes take a 20-minute baseline computer test to evaluate their neurocognitive state (brain processing speed, memory, and visual motor skills). Concussion awareness is important for children and adults

Time and total rest, that means rest from video games and other sound and visual stimulation. You want that person to have mental rest as well as physical rest. The brain, just like an ankle sprain, needs time to heal.
